Innisfail man dies in Montana crash

An Innisfail man died in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident in Montana on July 8.

A Montana Highway Patrol dispatcher would not confirm the identity of the man, but did confirm the man’s from Innisfail. She said the incident happened at 10:15 a.m. on the I-15 near Helena, Mont.

She said the cyclist, riding a 2006 Harley Davidson was exiting the interstate and seems to have realized he was taking the wrong exit. He attempted to re-enter the highway and lost control of the bike.

The cyclist hit a light pole and the bike overturned several times. The dispatcher said the man died at the hospital from his injuries. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
